The Health Ministry Cabinet is starting plans for the Garden Project for which they received a grant in 2007. They purchased a rototiller and will be buying garden tools to make a Salsa Garden at the YWCA. They will also be building garden boxes for raised gardens at the Churches United. These tools and rototiller along with the Garden project will be dedicated at the 11:00 service. The Adult Education class will focus on consumerism and the environment. Following worship a potluck is planned. Church members are being challenged to make their dishes-to-share out of ingredients that are raised in environmentally friendly ways, i.e., organic farming. It is especially fun to see how many of the ingredients can be raised in the North Dakota/Minnesota/South Dakota area. You’d be surprised. After lunch children and their parents are invited to paint and plant flower pots to bring home. As the flower pots dry, children are invited to watch the video, “The Amazing Panda Adventure.” So, come one, come all! Let’s ring in spring and honor the Earth with a fun filled, learning day, enjoying everyone’s company and giving thanks to God for the gifts he gives us on a daily basis.
